Former model, former vlogger, sort of. Tessa did some modeling as a teen. By the age at 18 when she stopped doing it she had already met Tokyo, Thailand, Shanghai, Honk Kong, Bangkok and Seoul for work as a model. At 18 she decided to stop with the modeling career and spent an year working on retail. At the same time she was doing vlogs before vlogs even existed, before it became a career in itself, she made it under the name meeka kitty like a character completely separated from her actual life. After she quit the job she moved to L. A. and that’s when a friend of hers forgot a guitar in her car and she decided to start learning to play it. Then she started to write songs and make some connections, at that point around 2014 Tessa released her first record Maybe Trapped Mostly Troubled, which she later deleted from the major major platforms but it is found at allmusic here and on youtube here. With this first record Tessa toured playing in fan houses and living rooms all organized by Tessa herself. Two years later she released an EP, Halloway where you can easily perceive the style from her first record and get a sneak peek of a more pop side of her which was later going to blossom in this Bad Ideas album. For Halloway Tessa made a video clip or every song paving her style both musically and aesthetically. In between the EP and the album she technically co-headline a tour with Dodie, who was really the main act.

Bad Ideas is the song from this album that made the playlist. The clip for this song is insanely colorful and fun and it feels like Tessa was on point in translating her vibe aesthetically in this video.
This was posted as an album because I absolutely adore Tessa and i was listening this album a lot at that time. for no particular reason other than i love her music.
