A Feira was the first major ig hit from O Rappa from their second album Rappa Mundi in1996. After  a debut album called O Rappa two years earlier that was heavely reggae the second work brought into the band’s mix a bit ofska influence, hiphop, rock and typical brazilian rythms. AFeira is the opening track for an album that carries a lot of Marcelo Yuka’s style. Yuka was one of the band’s major composer. AFeira talks about weed dealing, smoking and prejudice suffered by the black community in Brazil. The album vontinues to tackle the issues of the brazilian society with Miséria S. A. an almost comedic criticism of the inequality of our society. Vapor Barato is a classic composition from Jards Macalé, written in 1970 that talks about a drug addict strugles to keep from using.Rappa Mundi continues on with songs about faith, injustice, soccer, violence. A precise and poetical picture of Brazil. The sonority of the songs is a very brazilian mix with reggae combined with ska, hiphop and percussion. A Feira is a very good entrance to the band’s work.
