If you felt like you knew the sing when you first listened to /feel It Still by the Alaskan band Portugal The Man you were right. You probably have listened to it before. The melody of the song is the same from Mr. Postman by The Marvelettes and also famously performed and recorded by The Beatles. Before anybody raised their guns: it is not plagiarism, the Alaskans payedfor the melody and it kind of payed off. Feel It Still hit top 10 in the Billboard Hit 100. And won a grammy award for best duo/group pop performance in 2018, beating Despacito by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber – certainly a big deal that catapulted the band from indie pop to a huge mainstream pop group.
