I already wrote about Monsieur Periné debut album Hecho a Mano in the post of La Playathat took the group to winning the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist in 2015, about the second album Caja de Musica that finished setting the foundation to the group’s sound. And to leave no doubt about my interest in the group I also wrote aboute Monsieur Periné show in NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. In ere the subject is the third album from the colombian group that is the result of their journey through 6 years of touring, performing and recording. What culminated in an album with a electronic punch mixed with latin american roots, rythms and colors translated in a mature sound and refined aesthetic easily noticeable in the videoclips from the album’s tracks. The subbjects of the songs also matured evouting from their personal experience to a praise of nature and colombian landscape.
It’s the third post about Monseur Periné by the time ofthis post the band had already made it’s way to my mid library and since then I’ve been listening to it sporadically.
