Love like ghosts opens Lord Huron’s second album Strange Trails. It sets the tone for the entire album with a sort of celtic aesthetic sound with lyrics talking about love and ghosts kicking off a story about romance and monsters that leads the listener through deserts and forests with a work that is equal amounts rare and interesting nowadays.Lord Huron has this characteristic to tell a story throughout the entire album. Love Like Ghosts manages to present both the story and the aesthetic of the album pretty well and invites the listener to sit down with a cup ofcoffee and headphones on to listen the album while reding the lyrics like it’s the 1970’s.

Lord Huron – Dead Man’s Hand

On the other hand the band doesn’t limits itself by the concept and delivers more pop ad uptempo songs without losing grasp of the main story with Foool For Love

Lord Huron’s – Lonesome Dreams

The band’s first album also tells a story. It shows the band potential but doesn’t how it as good as zStrange Trails despite already presenting good music and storytelling.

Lord Huron was presented tome by Johnny and Iz Harris‘s monthly newsletter nd made it’s way t my playlists through the album’s concepts. Using the entire album to tell a srtory is something i wish was more commom in today’s music.
